On behalf of the Eley Park Football Club we are pleased to announce the following appointments for the upcoming 2023 Season.
Matt Embling has been reappointed for a second year as senior coach. He joined us earlier this year and has had positive impact on the club in the time he has been here.
Assisting Matt next year we have been fortunate to secure the services of three line coaches. These line coaches will be to assist in fast tracking the development of the entire playing group.
Mitch Ross who was involved in a coaching capacity at times in 2022 when injured. He will take on the responsibility of backline on match day and will be an excellent mentor for our defensive group.
John Baribar joins us to take charge of the midfield group. John who has over twenty years playing experience in Victoria and Queensland in various competitions. Will be able to share his innate knowledge around structures and stoppages to ensure our midfield group is well prepared.
Jarrod Newton a long time shark will take over the forwards. He impressed many at the club when coaching the reserves at times in 2022 and this role is the logical progression for coaching aspirations. We are excited to see how he can make the forward line flourish under his watch.
As well as these line coaches the club has appointed Xavier Bacash-Power to position of Reserves coach for the 2023 Season. Xavier professional background as an educator and his coaching experience previously will be a fantastic addition to the coaching group.
We are still actively recruiting new players for the 2023 Season and pre-season training will be starting Wednesday the 16th of November. More information can be found on the clubs socials.
